Prophetic Words, Testimonies of Grace, & Stories of Hope

Nature calls

It is after 1 am and as I sit outside still in my work clothes ready to change and go lay in bed and hope that sleep comes easy tonight I know that possibility is nill. Instead I listen to the sounds created by my Father and enjoy the peace surrounding me because sometimes nature just calls me to a place of gratitude. Gratitude for the little things in life. Like being able to witness someone have a faith so childlike it brings tears to your eyes while they are so in awe of all they have been blessed with in their day. From being taken from a place of hopelessness that you have known before to a place of belonging, to a place that feels like what could be home if only for a little while. As you watch the smile on their face, you can’t help but to wander the thoughts roaming in their head, the memories that keep playing over and over, yet you dare don’t ask for fear of ruining the moment for them. You see there are times in life when people need to feel a sense of wonder and amazement so they can feel that connection with God that brings them to the place of a small child so they can feel a closeness with Him that most of us tend to lose in our every day lives. We get so busy running errands, managing people, checking off our to-do lists, that we don’t hear nature call…we don’t come to the Father with a childlike faith. Instead, we wait til tragedy strikes, health begins to fail, or our lives become so unmanageable that the only way to look is up from a kneeled position. When in fact we should be kneeling despite the circumstances we face.

Isn’t it time we listen for what God is trying to say to us instead of expecting God to hear what we are trying to say to Him?
