ROOTED RENEGADE

Prophetic Words, Testimonies of Grace, & Stories of Hope

A Little Bit About Me

My name is Faythe, and I am a daughter of Yahweh. It took me a long time to be able to say that with the confidence and assurance…that is who I am. Many of us go through life and have fractures in our identity because of our experiences. That was me. My world used to be broken and destitute because of addiction, molestation, human trafficking, domestic violence, and various other forms of abuse and neglect. I grew up seeing God as a mean judge who sits on the throne of heaven and that everything that happened to me was my fault. It wasn’t until I had a radical encounter with a loving and just God to realize that I had perceived Him wrong…He loves me, and He loves you too!

He grabbed a hold of me in a jail cell and I haven’t been the same since.  I was in jail, isolation, and the God of Jacob met me right where I was. I spent hours that day crying and pleading to be changed, for the addiction to be lifted off of me, and for healing to come. I grabbed a hold of God and didn’t let go. I wanted a new name, a new chance at life, and I wanted to be touched by Him miraculously.  I was. God removed my desire for drugs and alcohol and saved my life. I was given a new name and I have been following Jesus ever since. It hasn’t been easy at times. I had to learn how to die to myself, let go of the past, forgive those who hurt me, and forgive myself. I had to take ownership of my own mistakes and make amends. I also needed forgiveness and it was received…through the free gift of salvation’s promise. I had been saved as a child, but I had strayed. Salvation never left me, but I certainly left it through my decisions, actions, and thoughts. Coming back took a lot of dedication, commitment, and perseverance.

I had to learn to see myself as His child, His beloved, and His daughter and forgiven. Often times in life we still walk around with the deep wounds of rejection, unforgiveness, comparison, and abandonment. Including being orphaned by people who were supposed to love us. The beautiful thing about Jesus is that He paid it all with the shedding of His blood and the laying down of His life. We don’t have to keep walking in these things nor with open wounds. We can be free of the judgement and condemnation, no longer carrying it around like weights on our shoulders. I know that God can do it for you…He did it for me.

If you get nothing else from my blog posts, I hope you get the transparency from knowing you are not alone in whatever you’re going through. There is someone who understands, and if it is not me, keep searching because God has people that are assigned to your life, like mentors and friends.  Pray and ask that they come quickly into your life, and you are able to recognize who they are. More importantly, Jesus understands. He walked the face of the earth, went through trials and tribulations just like us so that He could understand what we have gone through. You are never alone… even if you feel that way.  Jesus is always with you. Holy Spirit is always with you as well.

Always keep moving forward and find out who you are and whose you are. Keep trying to love yourself until you do love yourself. It will happen.

God loves you…and if you don’t know that yet, keep going because I hope one day you will.

If you are not saved and would like to be, the prayer is simple (it does not have to be overcomplicated). Just ask Jesus into your heart and repent of your sins. As Him to come in and ask for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Salvation is free and you can have it anytime you want it…but you must choose. The choice will not be forced on you… Jesus is a gentleman. He pursues us in ways that are beautiful because He loves us.

Praying that as you read these pages, you are inspired to get to know God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit more. May you too be transformed and may your life never be the same again…with Jesus.
