ROOTED RENEGADE

Prophetic Words, Testimonies of Grace, & Stories of Hope

Such a Time as This…

For the first time in my life I am stunned. Not because of what is happening around me, a virus. Because of how my fellow neighbors are responding to a threat. Taking more than what they need, because of uncertainty. Fighting each other, offering money to strangers for the food in the grocery carts, stealing from one another, and hoarding supplies that will take them months to use. Let’s face it, on any normal day, most of us do not have the storage space to hold an over abundance of toilet paper, cleaning supplies, meats, noodles, etc that the stores can no longer keep on the shelves. I can only imagine that some people’s houses or garages look like they just prepared for WWIII or Armageddon. Yes, is it a serious issue that we should be praying about and take into consideration? Absolutely. Should we destroy our neighbor in the process? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!

Let’s talk about the populations that are being ignored. Homeless and those stuck in trafficking and prostitution situations. Those who can’t go get food, can’t be quarantined, don’t have access to testing, hand sanitizers, etc. Those who are in shelters, or stuck in hotels because pimps won’t let them leave. While everyone is so worried about buying up everything in sight and stockpiling for eternity, there are other populations that cannot escape the madness.

The sins of a generation and generations past have a way of reaping consequences when we least expect them too. Globally speaking, society acts like it can do whatever it wants to do with no consequences and innocent people suffer every single day. Biblically speaking there are numerous times throughout history where this same thing was recorded and God offered a way out.

The best thing we can do right now is pray for our society, on a global and mass scale. Pray that the sins of the unrighteous are forgiven and seek to help each other without judgement or persecution. Sin is sin, regardless of what it looks like. Your sin is no different than mine and mine is no different than yours.

Stop acting like they are not one in the same. Start loving your neighbor as yourself so that we can all be one accord with our Father above.
