ROOTED RENEGADE

On the morning of Feb. 5th (2023) when I came down to make breakfast the news was on.  Low and behold it was showing the groundhog who for the last 20 years has, according to people, predicted whether or not there would be six more weeks of winter or an early spring.  Immediately as I saw the men’s black trench coats and top hats I felt a strong distaste and a righteous indignation rose up in me.  

Up until the last several years, I would watch  and buy into the demonic agenda surrounding this day, without realizing what it really was.  Let me explain…

Each year men take a groundhog out of a stump, and we are supposed to believe that it chooses a scroll that is written in its own language predicting the weather for the nation and on top of that, some guy reads it as if the groundhog is actually speaking to the people.  Breaking it down further, groundhogs don’t talk.  God didn’t make them that way.  Groundhogs don’t control the weather…it’s impossible and it’s demonic to believe they do.  God created the seasons and they come in His timing not ours or some furry animal.  Yet, each year people buy into the lie.  While the lie may manifest further it’s because people are blinded to the truth.  They are blinded to the deception with a thin veil over their eyes.  I was at one point too.  It’s a magic show that is being performed on Groundhog Day and people are so interested in the facade that they miss the trick.  

I had to sit with this for a while because sometimes we can pop off real quick about something and how we perceive it without prayer and slowing down enough to hear what God has to say. So sat I have.

And now three years later, on the 2nd of February, it starts all over again. The thickness in the air of deception all around as people prepare to be amazed by a furry groundhog waiting to see how much longer this winter will last. Another scroll written by men will be read while millions of people watch in anticipation. People searching for answers and truth just in the wrong places.

It is sad to see how we have been deceived by Satan to believe the lie that this is how our weather works. That God somehow decided to allow an animal to control what He created. Typing this out makes me realize how deceived I was. How I, in my own search for truth bought the lie. And many others as well.

When we are far from Jesus, we find answers outside His Word and His will. We search desperately for meaning. We search for understanding. And the enemy knows we are searching so he dangles tantalizing fruit in front of us so that we too will bite like Eve. When we do, our eyes are veiled in deception and we can no longer see. But that’s the point. Satan doesn’t want us to see his schemes. He wants us blinded.

But now his scheme has been unmasked. And I pray that as you read this you take some time to sit with the Holy Spirit and receive the truth. We all need the truth, not relative but real, truth from God to break down all the lies we have believed.

Also praying this opens your eyes to how the enemy moves and tries to hide behind various things. Yep! Including a groundhog!

P.s. it took me three years to post this more because at first I wasn’t sure how it would be received. Now it only matters that the truth gets put out there so people can be free.
