ROOTED RENEGADE

I was woken up to the verse “the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10 ESV).

God has given us vision for a purpose that aligns with the will of the Kingdom. To bring about the plans of the Father here on Earth. Often we get caught up in our circumstances and miss that we have a real adversary working against us. To steal our hunger and thirst for righteousness so we loose our passion and fire for the vision God gave us. To steal the peace in our marriages, families, and relationships so that we stay so focused on trying to fix them that we forget what God called us to and who the real fixer is – the Holy Soveriegn Lord of Heaven and Earth (whom all things are subject under His feet -Hebrews 2:8). To steal our zeal for life and love and compassion for others so that our sole focus is on pointing out the wrong in others and never praying that the Lord do miracles, signs, and wonders in their life. We are after called to love one another as Christ loved us (John 13:34).

The thief comes to kill your desires to fulfill your Kingdom assignments by wearing you down in ministry. Often by way of vicarious trauma or through church hurt. When did people stop being people? For we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). This is where forgiveness comes in…when we forgive we close any open doors we gave the enemy a foothold too and we release the person from the prison we kept them in. He kills our motivations for Kingdom work by disrupting the church and those who operate in it by way of spiritual lethargy, lust, perversion, jezzebel and antichrist spirits so that the world has a hard time distinguishing between real followers of Jesus and those just playing church. We must stop allowing this to be.

The thief comes to destroy everything related to the Kingdom of God. That includes you. Whatever your assignment, vision, or purpose is for the Kingdom, think it no accident when you face trials and tribulations of many kinds (James 1:2-4) but rejoice! He can only continue to destroy what we allow him too.

Death has no sting. The grave has no hold. The thief cannot continue to steal what we protect through continuous prayers and supplications and worship (1 Thess 5:16-18). We are beloved by a Father who knows our sufferings and circumstances and paved the way before us. This present age is falling away and there will come a day when none of what we “see” will be what we live in anymore. It is up to us to continue to fight the good fight of faith as we remove the foothold of the enemy from our lives and remember that the vision God gave us will come to pass through our obedience. The enemy will be mad like a kid throwing a tantrum…that’s only because no matter how hard he tries, he cannot stop the plans of God, unless you say no to them.

Don’t give up dear friends. The battle may be fierce but it belongs to the Lord! I am rooting for you and you have many, many more who are as well!
