This morning I posted a quick Insta Story:

Time to Praise!  Breakthrough is Coming!

The Lord has been confirming it all day!  So I felt led to elaborate more.

Often we get stuck in circumstances where we are unable to “see” what God is doing in our lives.  We scroll on Insta and Facebook and see people living their “best” lives and wonder why ours don’t look the same.  

P.s. – This is a comparison trap – don’t fall for it!  We all have “best” lives we are trying to live and we are fearfully and wonderfully made by a loving Creator who thought to make you different from the next (me too)!

Moving on!  Interestingly, praise is one of the last things we typically do when we are in a dry or stormy season as praise is often what we run to last.  Praise is a weapon.  It shatters glass ceilings and ideologies that many Christians hold tight too because when the Spirit inhabits the praise of His people, strongholds are loosed and yokes are broken.  Bondages are destroyed and the enemy runs back to his little camp and cannot touch you when you praise.  Unfortunately many churches today don’t teach this about praise.  They want to know your theology and your ideology instead of teaching you about spiritual warfare and Biblical principles to help you overcome the attacks of the enemy and walk more securely in who you are in Christ.  Enough is enough!  It is time to understand that we are the Body of Christ and we are at a time where we are to usher in the presence of God in our churches, homes, businesses, schools, nonprofits, etc.  We usher the presence in because some are denying God and His power.  They have a form of godliness but deny its power (2 Timothy 3:5-7).  We carry the power within us that shakes the gates of hell and it’s time we start teaching it and not denying the Holy Spirit in our churches, homes, schools, etc.

God loves us!  He loves our praise!  He loves our song!  He knows how powerful it is which is why in Revelation 4:8, Revelation 5:9, Revelation 15:3, there is constant worship around the throne of God.  Psalm 22:3 says “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.”    While God is definitely not confined to where we are, He loves being in the midst of our praises!  Psalm 8:2 TPT says this: “You have built a stronghold by the songs of babies.  Strength rises up with the clouds of singing children.  This kind of praise has the power to shut Satan’s mouth.  Childlike worship will silence the madness of those who oppose you.”  We must start praising so that the mouth of our adversaries shuts and cannot open!  Scripture is alive and sharper than any double edged sword.  It is the sword that comes out of Jesus’s mouth in Revelation in John’s vision (Revelation 19:15).  It doesn’t stop being what pierces our marrow just because it has been around for centuries!  

Praise!  Praise!  Praise!  Praise leads to breakthroughs!  It is powerful and saturates the Holy Scriptures as God breathed all over the pages!  

My prayer for you today is that you learn to praise through all circumstances and even when you think you can’t just let the worship music play and ask the Holy Spirit to show you something new in praising!  Ask Jesus to open your heart more for Him!  Ask Abba to open your ears and eyes to the flow of praise so that you can feel His presence more!  Worship is part of our intimacy with the Lord and nothing can withstand your worship!  Praying that you continue to press in, lean in, and find the Father everywhere you turn!  May the Holy Spirit be present in your space today (lay down your will for His and be open to a deeper relationship)!
