ROOTED RENEGADE

Last night I had a dream which started off with me on a property that I felt like I owned. I was standing in what was like large backyard and I was watching three people fish in another backyard. I was in a field of green grass and so were the other people and were were separated by a fence. There were two men and a blond headed woman. They were positioned with one man to the far left, then the woman in the middle, then the other man closer to me. They were casting their lines pretty long because at first I could not see what they were fishing in. I just saw them cast their lines and then bring them back in with no catch on them. My curiosity got the better of me so I walked over to where they were and there were people everywhere. The scene was like something you would see if you were at a crowded park area where there was a place to fish, a playground area with a swingset and a little open sandy grassy play area, then this open field for people to be in with chairs, vehicles, etc. A man, whom was very attractive had this huge fish on the end of his line that he had just caught and at first look, it appeared to be a catfish. It was about half my body length and its width was both my legs put together. I could see the hook in its mouth and its mouth looked wide like a catfish but there was something different about it. It had scales (if you know anything about catfish, they don’t have scales; they are smooth slick fish and very muddy grey and brown). The scales were big, shiny grey, silver, and black, like a massive bass fish but it looked more fake than real, as if it was manmade. The mouth was very wide. The eyes were a silvery black and were not moving. The fish didn’t move at all and it should have been wiggling all around. Most fish caught on a line are not still. Especially when you go to remove the hook from their mouths. The hook was not as big as I thought it would have been for a fish that size. It was a hazy bronze color. At first it was if I knew what I was seeing, but my mind needed time to catch up. The fish was put in the back of a truck that was there with the other fish, but I could not make out what they were. I had noticed a woman sitting in a chair to my left and had thought that she must have been this man’s wife, and for a moment I was a bit disappointment and said to myself, “Okay Lord, this one isn’t for me either” and kept watching the people fish. They would throw their lines out to this pond that was blocked by children playing in front of them on a swing set, in this play area, and people walking around. If you also know anything about fishing, you don’t cast your line over people. I found that to be odd in the dream. I kept watching and another man came and sat down beside this woman in the chair and for a moment I felt a relief because the man wasn’t married. Then I looked in the water as a man caught a fish and instead of seeing what he caught as everyone else was, I saw four golden, what appeared to be catfish with their heads at the surface of the water as if they were watching what was happening. I also found this odd as catfish don’t surf the top of the water, they are bottom feeders. What I also noticed was how bright their color was – the golden color. It stood out in the dream because everything else was more old color, as if you were watching TV back in the late 70’s when technicolor was making its way to the screens and the color was not sharp, but really dull. I pointed this out to the man I had been interacting with and he got his line and started walking over there. He seemed really excited too! I noticed as he was walking away that his hand was severely disfigured, like demonically. His fingers were not fingers but they were more like shapes of eels but short as if to appear like fingers on his hand. I didn’t say anything because then another person yelled about a giant fish in the water and the man said: “I will grab my slingshot” and my first thought went to David and Goliath. As he was leaving to go get it a fight broke out near the playground area with the little girls playing some sport and they were screeching and yelling and fighting. It was an awful sound. Then this very tall, large man walked past me and said: “My back is hurting again, I will see you inside for that back rub” to which I replied “Okay see you soon”. It was as if this was a routine thing for him and I was the one he went to for help. Then I woke up. I will say that the girls playing on the playground really bothered me because they were young, like 2-5 years old and it was an awful sound of them fighting and yelling, as if it was abnormal. The man walking past me for help was familiar but not unusual. The people fishing over the children was very out of place and so many many people were there.

As I prayed for interpretation, I was given the title: Subtleties of False Gods & False Prophets. You see, there are many things in my dream, as Holy Spirit has pointed out to me that appeared to be one way, but were really something totally different. While I was standing on my own property looking at the three people fishing, I had a different perspective of what I was seeing. I didn’t have a full view of what was really happening because there were obstacles in way of my full vision. I was not able to see beyond the scope of my sight, often peripheral vision is limited when we are looking at someone or people and circumstances. In this instance, mine was limited as I was focused more on the three people fishing in what I couldn’t see, versus trying to open up my vision and focusing on a broader viewpoint.

Next, the large fish that I thought was a catfish that also looked to be a bass. This was a representation of the false god Dagon from the Philistines back in the Old Testament. It was a warning to me that a false god was present among the people I was around and this was who they were worshipping. I have to say this interpretation was new to me as I have read over and over again these passages of scripture and missed this false god. However, when the man said he was going to get “his slingshot” he was tricking me into thinking that he was on the side of the Lord God and was doing what David did with killing a Philistine, but instead the Holy Spirit was showing me how false gods and false prophets work. They trick people into believing they are doing the work of the Lord by subtleties and false miracles, false signs, and false wonders. However, if we are paying attention, we will notice that the things they do don’t add up to what God says and what Scripture says. For some historical context, which the Holy Spirit showed me through some research, Dagon was a fish god that the Philistines and Babylonians worshipped from Assyria. He was similar to what people today call a mermaid, but back then in their mythology and false idol worshipping, he was a merman. This is very important to understand because people today are obsessed with mermaids. They have them in their homes, on t-shirts, statues, etc., and they are just in love with them. What they don’t realize is that they have let a false god into their lives through the worshipping of an idol that has only changed its representation from a male to a female form so that the subtleties go unnoticed. It changed its gender orientation to go unnoticed by people and misrepresented itself so that God’s people would not notice who it really was. Let that one sink in….Sound familiar?

In Old Testament times through their pagan mythology, Dagon was the father of Baal, and he was in charge of crop fertility. I must say that when I read this I was blown away by the Holy Spirit and how we as a nation need healing and deliverance. If you think about it, there are many who believe that you can perform rituals over your crops to get them to grow or ripen at just the right time. There are many who believe that mermaids are good luck and not the vile creatures that they really are – pagan false fish gods that were worshipped as a father of Baal and they were mermen not mermaids. The same Baal that the prophet Elijah in 1 Kings 18 obliterated by destroying all 450 of its prophets and making the false god look exactly like it was – FALSE. What we are seeing today is the same as they saw in the Old Testament, only it appears different.

The children represented in the dream is what we are seeing happen to our children today. Left to their own devices, they are becoming more engrossed in the things of this world and less understanding and knowledgeable of the things of God. Children are reliant upon their parents, caregivers, grandparents, and those who are healthy adults in their lives to teach them the things they don’t know so that they can grow into the next generation that will lead this nation. When they don’t understand, they need guidance and direction to figure out and find out what they are missing in life. Within this context, the girls screeching, yelling and fighting is what we see happening with our children. A lack of ability to express oneself in a healthy way. They have no real outlet other than social media platforms and video games to express themselves with people they don’t know in real life, most times. If they do know them it is only because they either go to school with them, or church, or they live in the same household. Often times even those interactions are strictly over the phone or limited more to technological interactions than face to face. Most face to face interactions kids have these days are becoming more socially awkward and they are seeing how much they are becoming unwanted in society based on the separation of genders, identity, race, and gross misrepresentation of social norms that our society is now becoming accepting of. Most are accepting what their parents say is right for them, including emotional, social, physical, sexual, and mental health and are unable to speak for themselves. The screeching, yelling and fighting was the representation of built up emotions from the children because they cannot get it out any other way. They have no other outlet anymore because it is being stripped way from them. The reason it bothered me so much was because there was so much pain in it that was real, deep, and emotional wounding that I could feel from them. They wanted freedom but they couldn’t find it around them.

My finding interest in the man and then him being revealed for who he was. Often those of us who are in seasons of singleness, will be attracted to those of the opposite sex, especially when they are representing like we think they should – good Godly men. However, if we are paying real close attention the Holy Spirit will reveal the subtleties that we need to see in order to determine whether or not that person is who they say they are. This is also a message for the church. Pay attention to the wolves in sheeps clothing. The time is now. Wake up sleepers because you are missing the cues from the Holy Spirit. Stop quenching Him!!! It is not the time to play church – be the Church. There are too many people hurting with church wounds, people wounds, and the like for the church to be silent while the world is amping up around it! The reason I was able to see the demonic deformation of his hand is that trickery often happens in the hands. It is often said of those who play tricks, “what what my left hand is doing so you won’t pay attention to what I am doing with my right hand”. This is true for false prophets. They will have you paying attention to what they are doing with one hand while they are fooling you with the other. WAKE UP!!!!! WAKE UP!!!!! WAKE UP!!!!!! YOU NO LONGER HAVE TIME TO SLEEP! THE LORD REBUKE YOU FOR SLUMBERING AT SUCH A TIME AS THIS! WAKE UP!

The man who needed the back rub was a man who was needing healing but not believing that he already had it. The “again” part was representation that he had already experienced healing and deliverance once before, but that the ailment had returned. The man had not learned to keep his “house clean” (Matthew 12:43-45). People can I tell you that you can walk through healing and deliverance as many times as you want, but if you are not building a relationship with the Holy Spirit, Jesus and Abba, then you are falling back into the traps that were set for you to begin with. You must clean your house (mind, body, soul) so that your spirit man (inner man) can become strong and resist the temptations of the enemy. Discipleship is very important after walking through healing and deliverance. Without it, a person doesn’t understand how to walk in the ways of the Lord. Be open to a move of the Holy Spirit so that He can point the way not only in your life, but how He wants you to help others. Being limited by your own understanding does not lead the way to the path of righteousness, it stops you along the way and hinders the process (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We are seeing a misrepresentation of the same false gods so that we miss the subtleties and cues that the Holy Spirit has been trying to give us. God’s people, it is time to pay attention and expand vision so that you can see, hear, and understand beyond what you are limiting yourselves too! Clean your house, your life, your mind, your body, your soul so that your devotion is to the one who created you – God. Learn the subtle cues and misrepresentations of false gods and false prophets so you are not deceived. Know that you have more fighting for you than against you! God is on your side – find Him in all things – just as He sees you and knows you!
