We get divine invitations to partner with Jesus and Heaven…however it is our choice whether we take the invitation. What do I mean by that? Well some people call them “divine disruptions” but tonight the Holy Spirit corrected me when I about did the same, because they are not disruptions if we are partnering with Jesus and Heaven…they are invitations. Invitations to partner with heaven should never disrupt our lives, but should be seen as welcoming and glorious. I do realize that with our “busy schedules” they most often are not.
Tonight I was sitting studying and my phone rang with a number that just said WIRELESS CALLER so I answered it. I didn’t know who it could have been, but I chose to answer it anyway. The woman on the other end asked if I had any rooms available. I told her no and that I believed she had called the wrong number. Before letting her hang up I asked her who she was calling for. Now this is where many would have let her hang up and not asked more questions. She told me and I dove a little deeper into how she got my phone number and found out it was from an old email I had sent, which would have been close to two years ago since I no longer work for that particular organization. Close to TWO YEARS was my first thought. So I gave her the intake phone number so she could call and check if they had any availability and we got off the phone.
My spirit would not let it go and I prayed for her right then that the Lord God would divinely disrupt her life and open the doors for her that needed to be opened. Then I called her back. I needed to pray with her because I felt the Holy Spirit pressing me to. You see we have an invitation to minister and witness to others. We can either accept that invitation or go on about our lives with what we were doing and close the door to that invitation the Father gives us to partner with Heaven on behalf of someone else. It may take five minutes to hours of our time, but it is precious time to Papa God and He most certainly finds that time valuable because His children are precious to Him.
When she answered I asked her if I could pray with her and she said yes! I asked her what was going on in her life so I knew how to pray and she gave me a few things to pray for. I also asked her if she knew Jesus and if she was saved. I was prepared for any answer. Why? Because salvation is important and if people don’t know Jesus then who am I to pray and not tell them who Jesus is? When she replied yes to both I kept praying for her and when we were done we said our goodbyes.
God just needs our YES. He will do the rest with what we give Him after that. Your YES to a divine invitation could open doors for the hurting and the lost who need to find their way back to Him. It could mean that someone was praying for them if no one else was. It could mean all sorts of things and all God needs is a YES…not a not right now.
Won’t you answer His divine invitations today?
