Dear Sex Buyer,

I watched a movie about you last night called “Buying Her” and there are some things I want to say to you.  First, I want to start with I forgive you (all of you).  I forgive you for the harm you caused me physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally.  I forgive you for the sexual addiction you had that caused you to do things you wouldn’t normally do.  I forgive you for wanting your porn fantasies played out on me.  I forgive you for all the times you had me do things for you that caused me great harm just so you could be satisfied.  I forgive you for treating me like an object.  I forgive you for treating me like I was nothing but a toy that you could play with at your convenience.  I forgive you for demoralizing me and dehumanizing me.  I forgive you for everything you took from me while hiding from your own family.  I forgive you for teaching me that all men are bad, horrible men who want nothing more than sex to have relationships with women.  I forgive you for causing me to further fear all men, including law enforcement, judiciary, businessmen, deans of universities, and pastors.  I forgive you for not honoring your families and your positions within these fields that are supposed to be protective.  I forgive you for everything. 

Secondly, I want to say that I love you as a person with the love of Christ.  I recognize your brokenness.  I see you for who you are underneath all the pain and trauma that you have experienced.  I see you for who you are beyond the porn and sexual addictions that are keeping you bound.  I see you and I want you to know that while you caused pain, the pain you have experienced can be healed.  You don’t have to continue taking out your aggression towards those who hurt you on others, especially the vulnerable, like children.  You can find healing and restoration for your weary and hurting soul. 

Lastly, I want to tell you that God loves you.  He sees you.  He has not forgotten you.  You do matter to Him.  He created you for a purpose that is beyond what you are doing right now, and I am praying for you.  I am praying that God touches you and you respond to His touch.  That you hear His voice telling you the way to walk so that you can turn from what you are doing today and find freedom.  I am praying that the God of heaven and earth convict your heart and help you see that we are people too.  To help you see that your actions, your thoughts, your heart posture, can be changed.  I am praying that God open your eyes that you may see clearly through the hurt and pain, rage, and anger, to find that there is so much freedom in Christ Jesus.  I pray that you do a 180 degree turn in your life and heal so that you can reach other men who have experienced the same pain you have and walk them on a journey through restoration.  May you be reconciled back to Christ Jesus.
