As I am watching this mama Cardinal build her nest to prepare for her young, Holy Spirit sweetly reminded me the importance of building our “nests” for our young.
I saw in a vision yesterday afternoon a young person picking up those sword and shield from a pile of them lying on the ground. She was confused at first when she held them in her hand as if she had no idea what she was holding. As she walked away from the pile carrying hers she shrugged her shoulders and kept walking. Then a young man picked up his and then after looking at them threw them back down and walked away. Then there appeared this entire row of youth as far as the eye could see and they were each picking up what they had previously dropped…their sword and shield.
As some picked it up their whole body was transformed to wearing beautiful gold armor and then they were wearing plain clothes and they had a Bible in their hand that was open. It had gold dust around it and was illuminated by the light of Christ.
There will be some who pick up what they dropped and still believe it isn’t for them, so they will drop it again and walk away in disappointment and disbelief.
There will be some who pick up what they dropped and while they don’t fully understand they will embrace it and be transformed instantly by the power of God.
It is up to us, the older generations, to build so they have a place to come to. A place that is full of Holy Spirit, Wisdom, Counsel, Might, Fear of the Lord, Understanding, and Knowledge. Where compromise does not exist. We need the Lord to teach us what is needed to build (like each bird He created uses different building materials) and not think that we can build this on our own, in our might, and in our own strength.
God will make a way where there seems to be no way and don’t be surprised if He keeps you hidden while you build.
This little bird is building a nest that while I know is there, I can’t see it sitting on my porch. I am watching her go to and fro gathering the materials of different kinds for it (leaves, small twigs, pine straw, etc.). I can hear her rustling around in the nest making the materials she gathers for just right. She does not worry about the materials she uses because she instinctively knows her Creator has already provided it all. She has everything she needs to build so she diligently searches and comes back to the nest with her finds.
Also, she has begun to build in a location that is sturdy and supported. Her nest is supported with a solid foundation so when the winds blow (and they will), she can rest knowing her nest will stay put. Again, hidden (from me but not from God). The only way for me to even get a small glimpse is to change location and viewpoints.
Remember that God is in control and He will bring out His plans in His way. It’s okay to be hidden during the building. Be diligent and allow Him to show you. The time is coming soon where the “nest ” must be ready for the “babes”.
