ROOTED RENEGADE

Christians are using their salvation as a means to sin against God.  When they say, “it’s okay I’m saved” or “I’m not worried, the blood of Jesus covers me”… and then attend festivals that worship creatures such as satan, they are cheapening their salvation and the price that Jesus paid on the cross.

This is not a time to sit around and play patty cake with the enemy of your soul. God is not pleased with these festivals.   He’s not pleased when His children worship the dragon/serpent who is called satan in scripture.

Attending these festivals is like erecting a high place of idolatrous worship to something that cannot save you. It can never save you.  Satan will never fully give you what you want.  You may think he is for a season but it always comes to an end.  Every kingdom in history that set up high places of false worship is no longer standing.  They have been destroyed. 

God was not pleased when the Israelites worship Greek pagan gods and participated in their festivals.  What makes His people think there is any difference now?  Just because Jesus died on the cross for sin doesn’t give us permission to continue to cheapen the cost through idolatrous worship of satan. 

The enemy is tricking you into thinking this festival is harmless. The Chinese mythology of the snake or “little dragon” (who according to the myth, when they shed their skin is called a “dragon’s coat”) is symbolizing luck, rebirth and regeneration including the pursuit of love and happiness.  So when you partner with the celebration, you are partnering with the devil.  Only the devil will use a snake to offer what appears to be a better option just like he did with Eve in the garden.  He asked her, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree in the garden?’” (Genesis 3:1).  This verse also calls satan “more cunning than all the beasts of the field which the Lord God had made”.  

It’s a trick and deception.  Only true love can come from God.  Love cannot come from a demon or satan.  There is no love in him or his cohorts.  You may get what you think you want for a short time, but your soul is at stake.  Satan wants you fooled into thinking that he can provide what you need and that by celebrating him, you will have it all.  After all, he tempted Jesus in the wilderness with the kingdoms of the world.  He isn’t stupid.  He knows exactly what will happen if he dangles the fruit in front of you long enough.  One of two things.  You will shut him up by the power of the blood of Jesus Christ, or you will give in and participate.  

It’s time to make a choice.  You are either for God or you are against Him.  You can no longer straddle the fence.  Not making a decision is actually making a decision.

In Ezekiel 16:1-14, God spoke about the people He loved so much and how they were abandoned and left to die.  But in His great love, He cleansed them and covered their nakedness and brought them into a marriage covenant with Him.  While they still turned and went in their own way, God didn’t change.  The covenant stood.  As it does for us today…that eternal covenant is Jesus Christ.  The ability to enter into an eternal relationship with Jesus is still here.  There is still a chance at salvation.  

But one day, that window will close.  And the decision will be made final.  God didn’t send His son to die a sinner’s death on a cross that He made with His own hands when He formed the trees in the garden of Eden for nothing.  He did it so you and I can be free of sin for eternity.  It was out of the purest love imaginable.  Satan does not offer that kind of love.  He can’t.  Only Jesus can cleanse you of sin and make you clean.

Turn and repent today!
