The remnant is in the holding place of the Lord. The place of incubation. The place of protection. Where many before them have jumped at the chance to minister and serve, the remnant have been more reserved. They have been intentionally held back to watch, observe, and pray.
- They watch – they watch what’s happening in the church and the nations. They are watching how crises are being handled on all fronts. They are watching how issues within the church and governments are being handled. And they are watching the Lord. Waiting for the sign to move from the place they are.
- They observe – they observe the body of Christ and how they minister to others. They observe the judgements of the church that are misaligned with God’s heart. They observe patterns and behaviors and then listen for the Lord to bring correction so they know how to move when they are released from the place of holding.
- They pray – they are learning the deeper power of pray amidst affliction and pain. They quietly pray in places where atmospheric shifts are needed to restore, reset, and rebuild. They are learning to stay on the walls and at the gates by listening to the Lord and having their ears trained by Him. They pray the prayers of exposure in the church so revival can come in the greatest movement of God to ever be seen.
The remnant understand that the old ways don’t work in the body of Christ and that the lost, the hungry, the exhausted, and the hurting need something more than the church is providing. So they stay in the holding pattern of the Lord until He says it’s time for them to move.
The remnant that will usher in the greatest move of God ever to be seen is multi-generational. They don’t care about platforms or performances…their sole mission is to usher in the Glory of God for humanity to be set free by it. Watch the least of these rise by the power of God in a purity like has not been seen before.
If you are in this very place, know that God is with you in the dark nights of the soul where you are being healed and restored. When He releases you, the past won’t even be a lingering fragrance in your life. You will come out brand new like the caterpillar who was turned into a butterfly.
